People & Culture Data Engineer - Huntingdon
At Hilton Foods, we're building something bigger - a smarter, faster, more connected organisation driven by insight, innovation, and the power of people data. To help us get there, we're looking for a People & Culture Data Engineer to join our high-impact team.
Our people are at the heart of everything we do. Across our global footprint, we've built a reputation for quality and innovation - from our origins in meat production to our cutting-edge, multi-category food solutions. Now, we're applying that same ambition to how we manage, understand, and support our workforce.
Are you a data engineer who loves building scalable pipelines, integrating systems, and enabling analytics that power real-world decisions? Do you enjoy solving complex problems at the intersection of people, technology, and transformation?
This role is your opportunity to architect the data foundations of our global HR function - connecting platforms, improving data quality, and enabling a truly insight-led approach to people strategy.
Passion. Performance. Innovation. Ambition. These are the values that fuel us. If they resonate with you, we'd love to see what we can build together.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Design, build, and manage robust data pipelines and integrations across HR systems (e.g., HRIS, Payroll, LMS) and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Azure, Snowflake).
- Build and maintain scalable data models, warehouses, and ETL processes that support consistent, accurate, and timely people reporting.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and analytics stakeholders to define data requirements, improve data flows, and automate reporting processes.
- Design frameworks for data validation, reconciliation, and auditing to ensure high trust in people metrics.
- Contribute to the development of metadata, documentation, and master data definitions for people data domains (e.g., job architecture, organisation structure).
- Support HR and business analysts in accessing, joining, and transforming data for strategic projects and regulatory compliance.
KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Strong technical proficiency in tools like SQL, Python, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI.
- Experience with HR technology landscapes and concepts (e.g., job hierarchies, organisational structure, HRIS architecture).
- Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating data from cloud and on-premise sources.
- Familiarity with data modelling best practices (star/snowflake schema) and version-controlled development (e.g., Git).
- Ability to translate business data needs into technical solutions and document them clearly.
- Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance principles.
This is more than a technical role - it's a chance to shape how people data works at scale. If you want your work to fuel real change and impact across our business, we want to hear from you.
