What this role entails
Seed train cell expansion for use in bioreactors.
Being the source of knowledge and support for certain items of equipment, and cell bank maintenance.
Working with other technicians with a range of expertise to maintain a professional, clean and safe working environment.
Support bioprocess development work by ensuring the necessary seed train production volumes for bioreactor operations.
Maintain the company cell bank, and stock control of cell culture and analysis consumables to improve quality and productivity.
Run and maintain the cell culture facilities to a high standard.
3+ years working in biological R&D or manufacturing and maintaining equipment
Delivering for an organisation
Experience of responsibility for managing the day to day running of several items of equipment or entire labs
Demonstrable ability to work with a diverse range of people, working towards a common goal in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Ability to 'get to the bottom of' what a colleague really needs.
Essential: mammalian cell culture and analysis
Preferable: Developmental biology knowledge at undergraduate degree level or equivalent
