Operations Support Manager

06.00 – 14.00 & 14.00 – 22.00 (Monday to Friday, shifts may vary)

The Operations Support Manager is responsible for the Team Managers and to support the Operation Manager in all aspects of Operational performance and KPI delivery


Job Accountabilities

  • Deputise for Operations Manager in absence.
  • Ensure all operational metrics are met: H&S, labour cost, production yields, giveaway, plan attainment, PPM, Quality standards
  • Help run an effective DRM & PMR meeting with engagement
  • Business improvements using change management and CI tools
  • Coaching and Matrix management across the team
  • Be able to influence the team to drive the best results for the business
  • Lead a business wide H&S culture thought management and compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislations
  • Product conformance to the high standard for Food Safety and Quality standards
  • Organise the operations team to ensure the highest possible efficiencies
  • Ensure full integration with supporting functions ie engineering, Quality, supply chain etc
  • Identify numerous PMR projects which will improve our business
  • Ensure an effective training program is delivered
  • Help implement Asset Care across all lines
  • Cover Operations Managers holidays
  • To champion and uphold the standards and practices of the ETI base code within the team and wider business, report and resolve any situations that may arise in the work place where a standard is not being met



  • Have the ability to liaise with the site management teams
  • Have experience in HACCP and quality management systems
  • Ensure effective lines of communication are in place within all group
  • Pro-actively engage the Technical Management team with ideas for development
  • To have experience within the Food industry.



  • Is currently in a similar position and wants to expand their knowledge of the food industry or alternately someone who is looking to take the next step in their career but has also covered various job functions within technical and has proven people management.
